Software Updates^* deliver new features and functionality to equipped Lincoln vehicles using advanced over-the-air technology.
These updates may include:

• Software enhancements
• Quality improvements
• Security updates

^*Feature is available on select vehicles and markets. Features may vary based on model year, trim, options, packages, and supply availability.

When available, update details can be found in the Software Updates section of the Settings Menu.

When Automatic Updates are enabled, most updates happen seamlessly in the background. Some updates require your vehicle to be non-drivable, but the vehicle will notify you in advance. It will also ask you to set a scheduled update time for when you won't be using the vehicle - for example, overnight.

When an update is available for your vehicle, you will be notified by a pop-up message on the touch screen. If you enable Automatic Updates, in most cases the update will happen seamlessly in the background.

In the UAE, Lincoln Navigator (MY26 onwards), Lincoln Aviator (MY26 onwards), Lincoln Nautilus (MY26 onwards) are currently eligible for Software Updates.

You cannot cancel a Software Update once it has started.

By enabling Automatic Updates, no further action is required for most updates. We recommend turning Automatic Updates on for a seamless update experience.

Alternatively, you can accept each Software Update by selecting Continue when prompted on the touchscreen.

You can contact the Customer Relationship Center or your nearest Distributor, and someone will be happy to walk you through the process.

Examples include:

• An update may not be available yet.
• Your vehicle may not currently support Software Updates.
• Your connectivity may be disabled.
• Your vehicle may be outside of cellular network coverage.

Some updates require your vehicle to be parked and not in use. These updates happen at your scheduled update time. The vehicle will guide you through the pre-conditions for the update, including:

• Your vehicle is stopped and parked.
• Your parking brake is engaged.
• The update is scheduled for before or after 12 a.m. (not exactly 12 a.m.).
• Your vehicle's ignition is off.
• All your doors, the hood, and the tailgate are closed.
• Your headlights are turned off.

If any of the above conditions are not met, you will receive a "Vehicle Not Updated" message on your vehicle's screen. Address the reason contained in the message before the next scheduled update.

If you are still receiving error messages about the failed update, contact the Lincoln Customer Relationship Center.

You don’t have to accept the Software Updates, but we recommend you do, as the updates will enhance the quality and capability of your vehicle, improving your ownership experience over time.

• If you set Automatic Updates to ON, your vehicle will automatically download and install most Software Updates.
• If Automatic Updates are OFF, you will see a notification on your Infotainment touchscreen which requires you to manually accept the Software Update.

No, it is not possible to “skip” an update as they are rolled out in sequence.

It depends. Some updates require your vehicle to be non-drivable for a short period of time (parked with the ignition off). If that is the case, we will notify you ahead of time, so you can prepare. Ensure you will not need your vehicle during your scheduled update time. It is best to set your recurring schedule for a time when you know you will not need your vehicle (e.g., overnight, during work, etc.). Most updates complete seamlessly in the background and will not require a schedule.

Personal settings and data will not be deleted unless they are related to functions that are removed or significantly revised in an update.

Lincoln Software Updates are evolving and are released at Lincoln’s discretion.

Installing Lincoln’s Software Updates will have no effect on your vehicle’s warranty. Ignoring an update will also have no effect on your warranty.

It is not possible to revert to a previous software version once an update has been applied.

Currently, Lincoln’s Software Updates are offered at no additional cost.
