2.0L EcoBoost® Engine

At the heart of the MKC lies a responsive 240-horsepower* 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, which uses three technologies — the boost of turbocharging, the precision of direct injection and the sophistication of twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT). This engine helps MKC achieve a towing capacity of 3,000 lbs. when properly equipped. The result is a standard MKC powertrain that’s as intelligent as it is highly motivated.

Available 2.3L EcoBoost® Engine

The MKC can be equipped with available 285-horsepower* 2.3L EcoBoost engine. This powerplant also delivers 305 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is delivered less by flexing muscles than it is by using its brain. EcoBoost technology pairs three brilliant technologies — turbocharging, direct injection and twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT). The 2.3L EcoBoost engine empowers MKC to deliver a towing capacity of 3,000 lbs. when properly equipped.

Electric Power-Assisted Steering

Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) is an important component in the Lincoln Drive Control system. EPAS provides an easy, fluid steering feel at low speeds and a firmer, more controlled feel at higher speeds. It also constantly adapts to changing road conditions and compensates for irregularities caused by factors such as a crowned road surface and crosswinds.

AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control

Roll Stability Control™ features a vehicle roll-motion sensor that directly measures the vehicle’s roll rate at least 100 times every second. This helps determine when and how it will utilize the brakes and modify engine power to help keep all four wheels firmly planted on the ground.*
