Technology that’s Intuitive

EcoBoost® engine technology

The 2.7L twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine in the new Lincoln MKX is not only efficient, it delivers more than 335 horsepower* and more than 380 lb.-ft. of torque*.

*Using 93-octane fuel.

Active Noise Control

Active noise control enhances overall cabin sound quality by canceling out unwanted noises while enhancing desired sound to help provide a more pleasant driving experience. Microphones monitor the sound profile of the cabin, which is then replicated and inverted by a signal processor to create an opposing acoustic wave through the speakers.

Standard hands-free liftgate

With the Intelligent Access key in your pocket or purse, just kick your foot under the bumper and the hands-free liftgate automatically opens — making it easier to load and unload cargo. You can also adjust the liftgate height, which is helpful for lower overhangs.

Available enhanced active park assist*

Enhanced active park assist enables Lincoln MKX to help with both parallel and reverse perpendicular parking. The vehicle’s sensors will scan for a suitable parallel parking space, and then steer the vehicle into the space while the driver controls gear shifting, accelerator and brake pedals. Park out assist is useful when you’re wedged into a spot. Simply press the button and the system will give you reassuring instructions on shifting as well as moving forward and back while it steers you out.

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s judgment

Available voice-activated SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch®

SYNC with MyLincoln Touch allows you to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. With this convenient technology, you can use simple voice commands and steering wheel-mounted controls to place and receive calls, choose your music, control cabin climate and more.

Available front parking sensors

The 2016 Lincoln MKX has an available 12-sensor ultrasonic sensing system that enables the full range of available parking-assist features: front sensing, rear sensing, side sensing, reverse perpendicular parking assist, parallel parking assist and park out assist.

360-degree camera*

Lincoln MKX allows you to see up to 7 feet all the way around your vehicle with the available 360-degree camera. The 360-degree camera is especially useful when parking or maneuvering into tight areas. The rear 360-degree view is shown by default when the vehicle is shifted into Reverse. Normal and 180-degree rear and front views are also always available with the touch of a button.

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s judgment

Available Lane-Keeping System*

Through a series of steering-wheel vibrations which resemble driving over a rumble strip, the available lane-keeping alert warns you if your vehicle starts to drift outside your lane. The lane-keeping aid actively applies steering torque, which can help automatically direct your vehicle back into the target lane should the system detect an unintended lane departure.

*Lane-Keeping System does not control steering. Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle.

Available Adaptive Cruise Control*

Adaptive cruise control adjusts the speed of your vehicle to the car in front of you. When the sensors detect traffic slowing ahead or an obstacle in your path, the system will automatically activate and slow your vehicle down. And when traffic has cleared, your vehicle seamlessly resumes the set speed—with no effort on your part. Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection is an additional feature that can actually help you avoid an accident. The system combines the best features of in-vehicle radar and camera to first provide a collision warning. If the driver does not take corrective action and the collision is imminent, the brakes are automatically applied.

Available Adaptive LED headlamps

Adaptive full LED headlamps turn with the steering wheel angle and vehicle speed to allow a greater field of vision into the darkest curves. The available auto high beams can automatically switch to high-beam intensity when no other vehicles are near, and revert to low-beam intensity when sensors detect the headlamps or taillamps of another vehicle.

Rear inflatable safety belts

Located on the rear outboard seats, the available inflatable rear safety belts help distribute crash-force energy across more of the occupant’s torso than a traditional safety belt, which helps reduce the risk of injury while providing support to the head and neck. This technology is designed to enhance safety for rear-seat outboard passengers of all ages.

Available Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive

The Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive System helps give Lincoln MKX enhanced traction while providing impressive handling and control. This system responds by redirecting power to the appropriate wheel with the best traction. It also helps enhance performance and handling in driving conditions such as rain, sleet, snow, gravel or sand.

Active Braking and Auto Hold technologies

Available Active Braking uses radar and camera technology to scan the roadway ahead. If the system detects another vehicle or a pedestrian, it first provides a collision warning. If the driver does not take corrective action and the collision is imminent, the brakes are automatically applied.

The Auto Hold feature is designed to relieve the driver from having to press the brake pedal continuously to keep the vehicle stationary. This feature is particularly helpful in stop-and-go traffic.
