Lincoln Digital Experience is a new spin on our in-vehicle technology. We’ve updated the cluster and in-dash screen as well as integrated Google apps and Services like Google Assistant, Google Maps and more on Google Playlincoln-digital-experience-1,lincoln-digital-experience-3.


Both the Lincoln Digital Experience and SYNC® can integrate with your phone and many other shared features. And the integration of Google apps and Services into our new experience doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to Apple CarPlay®lincoln-digital-experience-2 or Android Autolincoln-digital-experience-4. You have the power to choose - these options are available and can work together seamlessly. (For example, you can talk to Google Assistant while Apple CarPlay® is active.)

You can use basic features of apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps without an account. However, a Google Account is needed for full functionality, personalized experiences, and to download apps from Google Play. Some features may also be limited if you are offline or signed outlincoln-digital-experience-1.

A user can go into Google Maps settings and then tap on “Offline Maps”. Within Offline Maps, the user can view the auto-downloaded map or can select their own map to download. Once a user has downloaded a map, they will be able to see it in this menu and see when the map will expire. The offline downloaded maps are available for one year unless updatedlincoln-digital-experience-1.

When you are not connected to the internet, certain features are not available. You will still be able to use navigation features if you have enabled auto-downloaded offline maps on Google Maps. When connectivity is present (via Wi-Fi hotspot), Google Maps automatically downloads maps based on current location and where the vehicle thinks users will go. You will then have access to this offline map data for use with navigation features. To ensure map data is always available, turn on “auto-download” in the Privacy Center.


You can also ask Google Assistant to complete certain vehicle functions such as playing the radio and adjusting the climate controls while keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.


Google Play cannot be used to download or update apps if internet connectivity is not available. Some apps might be able to be used without connectivity if they were downloaded when connectivity was availablelincoln-digital-experience-1.

You can store up to three profiles. We recommend setting up a personal profile and signing in with your Google account for the full experience.

No, YouTubelincoln-digital-experience-1 and other streaming applications are only functional when the vehicle is stationary in Park mode.

Once you link your car to a Wi-Fi hotspot (phone or other external hotspot), you'll see "Connected" in the Wi-Fi settings menu. To make sure your car is connected to the Wi-Fi network, just check for the Wi-Fi signal icon that will show up in the top-right corner of your car's main screenlincoln-digital-experience-1.
